Honeymoon Road Trip – Week 1

Hello Everyone!

Christopher and I got married on October 8th and will be writing a post to share the details of our beautiful day with you soon.

We have been on the road for one week and have already seen so many beautiful things! It’s amazing what neat, eclectic places you can find just driving around.

Christopher and I started the trip heading for West Virginia and arrived in Le Roy Saturday evening. As soon as we pulled into the driveway of our Airbnb, our car died. We weren’t too worried because we made it safely to our destination and could call AAA the next day to have it towed. Unfortunately, most repair shops are closed on Sunday’s so we had to stay in Le Roy an extra day.

It was actually a huge blessing to have that extra day to relax. The bnb we stayed in was a beautiful old farmhouse on a piece of land in the middle of nowhere so it was a really nice place to be stuck!

After we got our car fixed up and back on the road, we headed for Kentucky. We LOVE Kentucky. We camped two nights in Corinth, visited the ARK encounter and the Creation Museum. On our last evening in Louisville, we went to the Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular and it was amazing! If you’re ever in the area in Oct-Nov it’s worth the visit!

We traveled briefly to Cincinnati, Ohio to visit Smale Riverfront Park. Great place to spend a couple of hours relaxing.

Our next stop was Bloomington Indiana to visit my friend, Channyn at IU. She took us to get pizza at Mamma Bear’s Pizza where we signed our names on our bench seat.

After that, we went to Nashville, Indiana to Brown County. Possibly the cutest town ever!

We feel so blessed to have this opportunity to travel and share this experience together. I can’t wait to see what the next 8 weeks hold!

Thank you for following our journey! We will be posting every Saturday a summary of the week before. Please feel free to share your travel suggestions with us!

This is the coolest thing ever!! You’re both seemingly “throwbacks” to a simpler, more rustic yet eloquent time. I thoroughly enjoy following your journey. Best wishes and safe travels in the coming weeks. What a blessing and so exciting. Can’t wait to see what happens next week !!
