Five weeks- wow! I can hardly believe it’s been that long already. We have been having so much fun this past week, but we have also been missing home a lot. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching we have been missing our families and reminiscing about the familiar traditions of home. This will be our first Thanksgiving married, and we want to start some of our own traditions as well as incorporate some of our family favorites. We are so excited for this adventure and would love your suggestion! Please comment your favorite Thanksgiving traditions at the end of the post. We would love to hear them!
On Sunday we went to Capitol Reef National Park. We did a 4-mile hike, and the scenery was beautiful. It was one of my favorites of the trip!
Monday we drove into Salt Lake City and went to the BEST bakery ever! If you are ever in the area you should definitely go to Eva’s Bakery. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is really cool! After that, we did a little shopping and went to Temple Square. Love the architecture and the history.
That evening we went to the Heber Valley Railroad and rode their “Sing along train”. It was pretty fun!
Tuesday we went to a vintage clothing store and my sweet husband bought me two pretty cool vintage dresses. Im a sucker for 1940′ style.
That evening, we went to Ensign Peak to view the city lights. I love the way they glisten at night and make you feel so small in the world.
Wednesday, we we to Historic Main St in Park City, UT. There is all kinds of shopping and neat places to eat there. Our favorite spot was Atticus Coffee and Tea. After a little shopping we went to our airbnb early to watch this weeks episode of This is Us. so good!
Thursday we drove to Great Salt Lake and the Bonneville Salt Flats. It was incredible. You walk out until all you can see is white ground and blue sky. It is unlike anything I have ever seen, almost like another world.
Friday we came into Idaho and drove to Shoshone Falls Park. It’s different from what we have see so far and very pretty!
We spent most of Saturday driving from Idaho to Bend, Oregon.
Looking forward to the week ahead and we can’t wait to share it with you!
